As the Senior Data Team Manager on the BI & Analytics team here at BetMGM, I oversee the kickoff and delivery of all data-related projects and requests that come to our team from across the business. I like to think of our team as a backbone of BetMGM, empowering leaders across the business to make better, more informed decisions. Our team can take ambiguous questions or complex problems and dig deep into the data to build analyses our executives can use to make decisions that have important customer, company, and monetary impacts. I am inspired every day by the team’s knowledge, skills, and dedication.
It’s inspiring and motivating to be a part of building something new and big at BetMGM. There’s an energy at BetMGM, regardless of the department, that’s contagious. One of my most rewarding projects so far was working with teams across the company and using data analysis to develop a more efficient approach to driving transformation across all levels of our players’ journeys. This work bridged together many different workstreams to glean insights that ultimately help us to better serve both strategy and customer experience.
The work we do on the BI & Analytics team is cross-functional and gives us the opportunity to build relationships with stakeholders across the company. It’s never boring around here – there’s always a new challenge!
Another role that I hold at BetMGM is Chair of the Women@BetMGM employee resource group. I’m incredibly inspired to work alongside so many amazing women at BetMGM and in our industry. It’s our priority to ensure women continue to have a seat at the table and have their voices heard.
Along with my role in this group and my time at BetMGM, one of the most valuable lessons I have learned is the importance of inclusion — not just personally, but as a business priority. We are finding and implementing ideas that shake up our current view of the industry and status quo. It has been so crucial to include everyone on our data journey to really drive change.
When we all move as one, we achieve great things. And data alongside our people will guide the decisions that get us there!
