After getting a degree in hospitality management from Morgan State University, I worked at some of the world’s largest hotel chains for two decades. This taught me that business is all about people. I worked in operations, convention services, and process improvement, but it always came down to people.
In 2021, it became clear to me that I still wanted to work within hospitality, but I wanted to look outside of the hotel industry. More importantly, I wanted to be part of a company that understood and promoted flexibility, and I wanted to find a place where my voice would be valued and heard.
This search led me to BetMGM and the newly created role of Hospitality Coordinator, supporting the VIP Sports Account Management team. Within six months of starting in this role, it grew into managing a broader team. This role allows me to be creative and curate experiences that give me a sense of pride and accomplishment. It’s always unpredictable and never boring.
The VIP Hospitality & Customer Experience team ensures that our VIP experience is top notch and really wows our customers. This entails managing anything and everything from sourcing sporting event tickets to creating amazing bespoke experiences that money cannot buy.

Our people are our VIPs, too. When employees are engaged and feel valued, they’re able to bring their best to their work and create amazing customer experiences. One part of our culture that makes me feel valued is our emphasis on wellbeing and flexibility. The VIP Sports and Casino Teams that I support often host evening games and events, so I appreciate that our leadership gives me the space to manage my workload and personal needs in ways that work best for me. On days when I am providing late night support, I might start work a bit later than usual or get in an early Pilates class so I’m still feeling rested and energized. I love that I can use our monthly physical fitness rewards to offset some of the cost.
I have no doubt that BetMGM will continue to be a trailblazer and market leader because it all comes down to people, and we have the best people.
